Mats Lindström’s work will investigate the sound of automated mechanical processes and set these in relation to location. This work will be a collaboration with Anna Koch at LV21. Anna Koch and Mats Lindström have worked together in a series of performances entitled One – Scratch memory, since 2008. About Mats Lindström
Mats Lindström is a composer and a musician who works with strains of live electronics, integrating mixed media, scenic elements, and the visual arts. His work has been presented in the context of concerts, theatre, and dance performance, as well as radio art and sound installation.
Formerly an engineer in the electronics industry, Lindström has designed and constructed a number of unique electronic musical instruments and apparatuses. He has worked as festival coordinator and producer with contemporary music for over 20 years.
He is the studio director of the legendary Elektronmusikstudion (EMS) in Stockholm. His most recent work, МИГ (“MIG”), was released in 2012 on Ideologic Organ, the Editions Mego sublabel headed by Sunn O)))’s Stephen O’Malley.
